Remember Fashion Plates?

I just went to the best rummage sale ever. Well, maybe not ever, but in terms of vintage toys, yes, ever. I got myself $10 worth of fashion plates. I loved these things when I was a kid, but they're still inspiring me now! The cut-off body parts make really neat-o compostions all on their own. So, today, I'm finding a way to paint them...

Boy, I must have lived a sheltered life, or am much older than you, but I never heard of fashion plates, they look like so much fun.
