I went to Bemidji, Minnesota's Art in the Park this past weekend. You know, Bemidji: The Place with the Big Sculpture of Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox? Here's Jesse making sure that Babe's nose is booger-free.

The show went pretty well. It's in a really lovely setting, right near the lake and there's a bunch of trees. I love trees! And, I did manage to score an "Award of Excellence," which means they like me and I get to come back next year for free. Trees and free stuff: Bemidji how you have seduced me.

That's my big white ribbon. I'm totally wearing it right now. I'm bringing back the ribbon. Into fashion, I mean. And here's what the rest of the booth looked like:

And now, I'm back at home, typing up this blog in a small, hot room. I'm helping out at the North Dakota Museum of Art's Kids' Camp again this week, this time under Artist Adam Kemp. We just found out yesterday that the water main is going to be shut off to the building we're working in tomorrow, so we've decided not to let the kids go to the bathroom tomorrow. I don't think it should be a problem...
Pow! Here's a new little painting:

And last but not least, I've recently learned that I'll be having an exhibit at The 3rd Street Gallery in Grand Forks that will start on August 16th. Guess what it's going to be called? (Jazz Hands, Please) "Michelle Brusegaard: Fashion Plates." I sure hope those 4 paintings in my garage are procreating right now.
